A long sleeve tee that is just a short sleeve pattern with longer sleeves fits badly at the cuff and pulls at the underarm. Sleeve head, cuff width and body length all need their own numbers.
We manufacture custom long sleeve t-shirts in 200 to 320 GSM cotton jersey with ribbed or hemmed cuffs, a slightly longer body than the matching short sleeve, and sleeve lengths graded to US sizing. Mike Apparel manufactures t-shirts for brands that need a custom long sleeve t-shirt manufacturer willing to start at 50 pieces, ship in 2–3 weeks and keep the block consistent on every reorder.
Long Sleeve T-Shirt fabrics and weights
Choosing the cloth for a custom t-shirt is a trade-off between hand feel, weight, print behaviour and cost. These are the fabrics we run most often for this product, with what each one is best at. If you are unsure, sample the long sleeve t-shirt in 240 GSM combed cotton jersey first; it is the construction we recommend for everyday long sleeve for streetwear lines.
| Fabric | Specification | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 240 GSM combed cotton jersey | 100% cotton | everyday long sleeve for streetwear lines |
| 300 GSM heavyweight jersey | 100% cotton | heavy long sleeve that competes with a light sweatshirt |
| 210 GSM cotton-poly jersey | 60/40 | lighter layering piece, prints well |
| 230 GSM waffle knit | 100% cotton thermal | textured long sleeve for fall drops |
Silhouettes and sizing
The silhouette options we run for t-shirts are listed below. Any of them can be adjusted to a reference garment you send us, and we grade to US sizing as standard. The most requested long sleeve t-shirt block is the oversized long sleeve with dropped shoulder.
- Oversized long sleeve with dropped shoulder
- Boxy long sleeve
- Regular long sleeve for basics
- Slim long sleeve for layering
Construction details
These are the construction details we specify by default on a custom t-shirt. Each one can be changed in the tech pack, and each one shows up in the pre-production sample so nothing is a surprise in bulk. On a long sleeve t-shirt the detail buyers notice first is the 1×1 rib cuffs 5–7 cm, or plain hemmed cuffs with thumbholes on request.
- 1×1 rib cuffs 5–7 cm, or plain hemmed cuffs with thumbholes on request
- Sleeve head eased to prevent underarm pull
- Body 2–3 cm longer than the short sleeve on the same block
- Coverstitched hems and taped neck
- Optional extended cuff for the stacked-sleeve look
Embellishment and wash
Every embellishment listed here is produced in our own print, embroidery and wash departments in Sialkot. Panels are decorated before assembly where placement demands it. Long Sleeve T-Shirt artwork usually goes on as sleeve prints running from shoulder to cuff.
- Sleeve prints running from shoulder to cuff
- Cuff embroidery and cuff woven tabs
- Front and back screen prints
- Contrast rib cuffs and neck
- Garment dye and vintage wash

Private label, labels and packaging
Your brand, not ours, is on the finished t-shirt. We sew in woven neck labels, size tabs and care labels to your artwork, attach hang tags and pack in branded poly bags or boxes. No Mike Apparel branding appears anywhere on the product. Our private label clothing page covers label options and minimums. A typical long sleeve t-shirt run carries a woven main label, printed care label and hang tag; longsleeve tee programmes often add a woven hem loop.
Long Sleeve T-Shirt pricing by quantity
Per-piece pricing for t-shirts at each quantity band. The low end is a simpler spec (lighter fabric, one embellishment); the high end is heavyweight fabric, multiple placements and full packaging. A detailed breakdown is on our how much does it cost to manufacture a t-shirt in bulk?. For reference, a long sleeve t-shirt run of 50 pieces in 240 GSM combed cotton jersey with one embroidery and private labels sits close to the middle of the first band.

Long Sleeve T-Shirt reorders skip the sample fee entirely and are priced at the band of the total quantity ordered to date.

Made for US brands, shipped worldwide
Most of our t-shirt production ships to the United States, DDP, meaning duties, taxes and customs clearance are paid by us and included in the quote. Air freight lands in Dallas or New York in four to seven days after the run ships; sea freight takes four to five weeks and costs less for larger orders. We also ship to the UK, Canada, Australia, the EU and the UAE. See streetwear manufacturing for USA brands and our DDP shipping page. Long Sleeve T-Shirt orders to the USA are usually air-freighted; a 50-piece run weighs little enough that air costs only a few dollars per piece more than sea.
Frequently asked questions
What sleeve length do you use for US sizing?
Our unisex block runs a 64 cm sleeve at size M, graded 1.5 cm per size, measured from the centre back neck. We adjust to your reference if you want a stacked or shorter cuff.
Can long sleeve tees have thumbholes?
Yes. Thumbholes are cut into a longer rib cuff and bar-tacked. They add roughly $0.40 per piece.
What GSM is best for a long sleeve tee?
240 GSM covers most brands. Go to 300 GSM if the long sleeve is a hero piece meant to feel substantial; use 210 GSM for a layering basic.
What is the MOQ for long sleeve t-shirts?
50 pieces per design and colourway. Sleeve print adds no minimum.
