Beanies are the highest-margin accessory a streetwear brand sells and the easiest to get wrong: thin single-layer knits that show scalp, cuffs that will not hold and labels that peel after a week. We knit beanies double-layer on our own machines, block and steam them to shape, and sew woven labels on four sides. Yarns and gauges
100% acrylic (soft, colourfast, anti-pill) is the streetwear standard; acrylic-wool blends add warmth and a matte finish; 100% merino for luxury lines; recycled polyester and cotton-acrylic for sustainable and summer-weight programmes. 7 gauge is the standard knit, 5 gauge for chunky slouch styles, 9–12 gauge for fine merino. Yarn is dyed to Pantone from 50 pieces per colour.
Styles
Cuffed beanies at 20–23 cm with a 6–8 cm turned cuff; fisherman or docker beanies at 14–17 cm sitting above the ears; slouch beanies at 25–30 cm with a loose crown; fleece-lined and pom-pom versions of each. Heights and rib tension are set on the machine and confirmed on the sample.
Branding
Woven labels sewn on four sides or as folded loops, debossed leather and PU patches, flat embroidery on the cuff, jacquard-knitted logos and stripes (from 100 pieces per design), and contrast rolled edges. Inside labels and hang tags are produced with the beanie.
Matching programmes
Beanies are most often ordered alongside hoodies and crewnecks. We dye the yarn to the same Pantone as the fleece, produce the same woven label, and ship the beanies in the same consignment, so the hat and the hoodie match on the rail. See custom hoodies.
