A cuffed beanie is the cheapest branded product a streetwear label can sell at a 5x markup, and the one where a bad knit is most obvious: thin yarn that shows scalp, a cuff that will not hold and a label that peels. The yarn and the gauge are everything.
Mike Apparel manufactures custom cuffed beanies in acrylic, acrylic-wool, merino and recycled yarns on 7 to 12 gauge knitting machines, with a folded cuff of 6–8 cm, rib or plain knit, and woven, leather or embroidered branding. As a custom cuffed beanie manufacturer, Mike Apparel runs 50-piece minimums, samples every style before bulk and turns production in 2–3 weeks, with your labels sewn in at the factory.
Fabrics we run for beanies
We hold these fabrics for beanies and knit or weave others to spec. Each has a different hand, drape and shrink profile, and the sample stage exists so you can feel the difference before committing 50 pieces to it. For the cuffed beanie most brands start with 100% acrylic, 7 gauge and step up to Acrylic-wool 70/30, 7 gauge when they want premium beanie.
| Fabric | Specification | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 100% acrylic, 7 gauge | soft, anti-pill | the standard streetwear beanie |
| Acrylic-wool 70/30, 7 gauge | warmer, matte | premium beanie |
| Merino wool, 9 gauge | 100% merino | luxury beanie |
| Recycled polyester, 7 gauge | GRS-certifiable | sustainable beanie |
Cuffed Beanie fits we build
We build the pattern on one of the blocks below or from your own measurements, grade it across XS to 3XL for the US market, and confirm every size on the sample before cutting bulk. The most requested cuffed beanie block is the standard cuffed beanie, 20 cm height.
- Standard cuffed beanie, 20 cm height
- Short cuffed (fisherman-length hybrid)
- Tall cuffed with a slouch
- Fleece-lined cuffed beanie
What is inside the seams
The stitch, rib, thread and hardware choices below are what separate a factory beanie from a promotional blank. All are standard on our runs. The single most important line in a cuffed beanie spec is: double-layer knit for opacity and warmth.
- Double-layer knit for opacity and warmth
- Rib 1×1 or 2×2 through the cuff
- Turned cuff 6–8 cm, tacked at the back
- Optional fleece lining band
- Blocked and steamed for shape
Embellishment and wash
Every embellishment listed here is produced in our own print, embroidery and wash departments in Sialkot. Panels are decorated before assembly where placement demands it. On a cuffed beanie the most common request is woven label on the cuff, sewn on four sides.
- Woven label on the cuff, sewn on four sides
- Leather or PU patch with debossed logo
- Flat embroidery on the cuff
- Jacquard-knitted logos and stripes
- Pom-pom on request

Labels, tags and packaging
Private label is included, not an upsell. A custom beanie from Mike Apparel ships with your woven or printed neck label, size tab, care label and, if you want them, hang tags, custom poly bags and printed boxes. Send vector artwork and we produce label samples alongside the garment sample. See our private label clothing page for label types, minimums and artwork specs. On a cuffed beanie the label set is usually a woven neck label, a size tab and a hem tag, with a hang tag on the knit beanie.
Cuffed Beanie pricing by quantity
Pricing for a custom beanie is driven by fabric weight, decoration and quantity. The bands below are per piece for the constructions on this page at typical spec, and every quote is itemised so you can see exactly what moves the number. For reference, a cuffed beanie run of 50 pieces in 100% acrylic, 7 gauge with one embroidery and private labels sits close to the middle of the first band.
| Quantity | Price per piece (USD) |
|---|---|
| 50–100 pieces | $3.80 – $7.50 |
| 100–300 pieces | $3.34 – $6.60 |
| 300–1,000 pieces | $2.96 – $5.85 |
| 1,000+ pieces | $2.66 – $5.25 |
Quoted prices exclude freight; we quote DDP separately so you see the landed cost to your door. Sample fees are credited against the bulk order. For a full walkthrough of what drives the number, read our custom hat and beanie manufacturing cost. Cuffed Beanie reorders skip the sample fee entirely and are priced at the band of the total quantity ordered to date.

Delivery to the USA and beyond
Most of our beanie production ships to the United States, DDP, meaning duties, taxes and customs clearance are paid by us and included in the quote. Air freight lands in Houston or Los Angeles in four to seven days after the run ships; sea freight takes four to five weeks and costs less for larger orders. We also ship to the UK, Canada, Australia, the EU and the UAE. See streetwear manufacturing for USA brands and our DDP shipping page. For cuffed beanie reorders over 300 pieces we quote sea freight alongside air so you can trade a few weeks for a lower landed cost.
