What are the label construction options?
Woven damask is the premium neck label: dense weave, fine detail, up to eight colours, soft edge. Woven taffeta is lighter and crisper, good for size labels. Printed satin is the standard care label. Heat-transfer gives a tagless neck on tees. Fold types: end fold (most common), loop fold (hem tags), centre fold (side seam), straight cut with merrowed edge (patches). Labels are sewn on the line during assembly, not added after.
What does US law require on a garment label?
- Fibre content by percentage, generic names (e.g. “100% cotton”, “80% cotton 20% polyester”).
- Country of origin: “Made in Pakistan”, on a label at the neck or visible without opening the garment.
- Care instructions in words or approved symbols.
- Identity: the brand name or an RN number registered with the FTC.
We combine these on a single care label so the main woven label carries only your brand. For the EU and UK, fibre content in local languages is added on request.
What artwork do you need to send?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) for every label and tag, with Pantone references for thread and print colours, and a note on fold type and position if you have a preference. If you only have a logo, we lay out the label set and send proofs. Label samples are produced with your garment sample so you approve them together. See the sampling process.
How do labels vary by product?
Tees usually take a woven neck label or a tagless print plus a side care label. Hoodies and crewnecks add a hem loop or hood label. Jackets carry a larger woven label on the lining and often a leather patch. Beanies use a four-side-sewn cuff label or a leather patch; caps take an inside taping label and a front patch or embroidery. Sets carry matching labels on both pieces. What does packaging add to the cost?
A plain poly bag is included. A printed poly bag adds about $0.15, a printed mailer $0.50–$0.90, a printed box $0.80–$1.80, and the full premium set (box, tissue, sticker, card) about $1.50–$2.50 per garment at 300 units.
