A bomber is the first jacket most streetwear brands make and the first place a cheap factory shows: flat rib that will not recover, a zip that ripples the placket and a lining that bags at the hem. The rib and the zip are the product.
Mike Apparel manufactures custom bomber jackets in nylon, satin, cotton twill, wool blend or leather-look shells with a full quilted or plain lining, heavy 2×2 rib at collar, cuffs and hem, a YKK front zip, sleeve pocket and welt or zip pockets. Mike Apparel is a custom bomber jacket manufacturer with a 50-piece minimum per design, a 2–3 weeks production window after sample approval and full private label on every run.
Fabric options for custom jackets
Fabric decides most of what a customer feels, so we quote every custom jacket against a specific cloth rather than a vague ‘premium cotton’. The options below are stocked or knitted to order in Sialkot; lab dips and hand-feel swatches ship before sampling. For the bomber jacket most brands start with Nylon flight satin 240 GSM and step up to Cotton twill 10 oz when they want casual bomber, prints and embroidery well.
| Fabric | Specification | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Nylon flight satin 240 GSM | 100% nylon, quilted lining | the MA-1 style bomber |
| Cotton twill 10 oz | 100% cotton | casual bomber, prints and embroidery well |
| Polyester satin 220 GSM | 100% polyester | souvenir-style bomber for embroidery |
| Wool blend melton 480 GSM | 60/40 wool-poly | heavyweight winter bomber |
Bomber Jacket fits we build
We build the pattern on one of the blocks below or from your own measurements, grade it across XS to 3XL for the US market, and confirm every size on the sample before cutting bulk. The most requested bomber jacket block is the regular MA-1 fit.
- Regular MA-1 fit
- Oversized boxy bomber
- Cropped bomber (women's)
- Longline bomber
Construction details
These are the construction details we specify by default on a custom jacket. Each one can be changed in the tech pack, and each one shows up in the pre-production sample so nothing is a surprise in bulk. On a bomber jacket the detail buyers notice first is the heavy 2×2 rib collar, cuffs and hem with high spandex for recovery.
- Heavy 2×2 rib collar, cuffs and hem with high spandex for recovery
- YKK #5 or #8 front zip, two-way on longline
- Quilted diamond or channel lining, or plain taffeta
- Welt pockets with snaps, sleeve utility pocket with zip
- Bagged lining with a clean hem finish
Printing, embroidery and finishing
Print, embroidery and wash are done in-house, so the jacket and its decoration ship as one finished product with one point of responsibility. Bomber Jacket artwork usually goes on as chenille and satin-stitch embroidery on back and chest.
- Chenille and satin-stitch embroidery on back and chest
- Chain-stitch souvenir embroidery
- Woven patches and sleeve badges
- Screen print on twill shells
- Custom zipper pullers and rib in contrast colour

Private label, labels and packaging
Private label is included, not an upsell. A custom jacket from Mike Apparel ships with your woven or printed neck label, size tab, care label and, if you want them, hang tags, custom poly bags and printed boxes. Send vector artwork and we produce label samples alongside the garment sample. See our private label clothing page for label types, minimums and artwork specs. For bomber jacket orders we recommend a woven neck label plus a printed care label as the minimum; hang tags and varsity bomber packaging are added at your choice.
Custom jacket price bands
Pricing for a custom jacket is driven by fabric weight, decoration and quantity. The bands below are per piece for the constructions on this page at typical spec, and every quote is itemised so you can see exactly what moves the number. For reference, a bomber jacket run of 50 pieces in Nylon flight satin 240 GSM with one embroidery and private labels sits close to the middle of the first band.
| Quantity | Price per piece (USD) |
|---|---|
| 50–100 pieces | $32 – $65 |
| 100–300 pieces | $28 – $57 |
| 300–1,000 pieces | $25 – $51 |
| 1,000+ pieces | $22 – $46 |
All figures exclude shipping. We quote air and sea DDP to your US address on every order. Payment is 50% deposit at sample approval and 50% before shipment. For a bomber jacket order of 50 pieces, sampling is billed at roughly $70–$169 and refunded against bulk.

Made for US brands, shipped worldwide
We built our jacket programme around US brands: sampling calls in Eastern and Pacific time, US sizing on every block, and DDP delivery to your door or your fulfilment centre with nothing to pay at the border. Brands in Los Angeles, Miami and across the country reorder on the same block every season. Details on streetwear manufacturing for USA brands and DDP shipping. Bomber Jacket orders to the USA are usually air-freighted; a 50-piece run weighs little enough that air costs only a few dollars per piece more than sea.
Frequently asked questions
Which rib do you use on bombers?
A dedicated 2×2 jacket rib with 5–8% spandex, heavier than hoodie rib, so the collar and cuffs recover after wear. This is the single biggest quality difference in bombers.
Can you make a fully embroidered souvenir bomber?
Yes. Back embroidery up to 30 x 35 cm in satin stitch or chenille, plus chest and sleeve placements. Large embroidery adds $6–15 per piece depending on stitch count.
Is the lining quilted?
Diamond-quilted lining with light polyfill is standard on nylon bombers. Twill and satin bombers can use a plain lining for a lighter jacket.
What is the price of a custom bomber jacket?
$32 to $65 per piece at 50–100 units depending on shell fabric, lining and embroidery.
