A pullover hoodie is the anchor product of most streetwear brands, and it is also where cheap manufacturing shows first: a thin hood that collapses, a kangaroo pocket that sags and a rib that loses its snap. The fix is fabric weight and construction, not price.
Mike Apparel manufactures custom pullover hoodies from 300 to 500 GSM brushed fleece or French terry, with a double-layer hood, flat or round drawcords, a reinforced kangaroo pocket and 2×2 rib at cuffs and hem. Fit is set from our oversized, boxy or regular blocks or from your tech pack. Mike Apparel manufactures hoodies for brands that need a custom pullover hoodie manufacturer willing to start at 50 pieces, ship in 2–3 weeks and keep the block consistent on every reorder.
Pullover Hoodie fabrics and weights
Choosing the cloth for a custom hoodie is a trade-off between hand feel, weight, print behaviour and cost. These are the fabrics we run most often for this product, with what each one is best at. For the pullover hoodie most brands start with 350 GSM brushed fleece and step up to 400 GSM heavyweight fleece when they want thick, structured hoodie for premium lines.
| Fabric | Specification | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 350 GSM brushed fleece | 80/20 cotton-poly, 3-end | the benchmark US streetwear hoodie |
| 400 GSM heavyweight fleece | 100% cotton or 80/20 | thick, structured hoodie for premium lines |
| 450–500 GSM ultra-heavy fleece | 100% cotton | statement heavyweight hoodies |
| 380 GSM French terry | 100% cotton, loopback | unbrushed inside, cooler and cleaner for warm markets |
Fit and silhouette options
Fit is graded from our house blocks or from your tech pack, in US sizing from XS to 3XL, with each size measured on the pre-production sample against your spec sheet. For a pullover hoodie, we usually sample the oversized pullover with dropped shoulder first and adjust from there.
- Oversized pullover with dropped shoulder
- Boxy pullover with cropped body
- Regular pullover
- Longline pullover with side slits
How we build a custom hoodie
Construction is where a hoodie either earns its retail price or does not. The details below are standard on our hoodies; anything not listed can be specified. The single most important line in a pullover hoodie spec is: double-layer hood, self-fabric or contrast lined, with optional hood rib.
- Double-layer hood, self-fabric or contrast lined, with optional hood rib
- Metal or plastic eyelets, flat cotton or round polyester drawcords with metal tips
- Kangaroo pocket with bar tacks at each opening
- 2×2 rib cuff and hem 6–8 cm, spandex blended so it recovers
- Raglan or set-in sleeves; set-in for oversized blocks
Embellishment and wash
Every embellishment listed here is produced in our own print, embroidery and wash departments in Sialkot. Panels are decorated before assembly where placement demands it. For pullover hoodie decoration, front, back and sleeve screen prints, puff and high-density leads, followed by chest, hood and back embroidery, chenille and 3D puff.
- Front, back and sleeve screen prints, puff and high-density
- Chest, hood and back embroidery, chenille and 3D puff
- Acid, mineral and vintage washes
- Garment dye
- Custom woven labels, hood labels and drawcord tips

Your label on every hoodie
Your brand, not ours, is on the finished hoodie. We sew in woven neck labels, size tabs and care labels to your artwork, attach hang tags and pack in branded poly bags or boxes. No Mike Apparel branding appears anywhere on the product. Our private label clothing page covers label options and minimums. On a pullover hoodie the label set is usually a woven neck label, a size tab and a hem tag, with a hang tag on the heavyweight hoodie.
What a custom hoodie costs
Per-piece pricing for hoodies at each quantity band. The low end is a simpler spec (lighter fabric, one embellishment); the high end is heavyweight fabric, multiple placements and full packaging. A detailed breakdown is on our how much does it cost to manufacture a hoodie?. For reference, a pullover hoodie run of 50 pieces in 350 GSM brushed fleece with one embroidery and private labels sits close to the middle of the first band.
| Quantity | Price per piece (USD) |
|---|---|
| 50–100 pieces | $14.00 – $26 |
| 100–300 pieces | $12.32 – $23 |
| 300–1,000 pieces | $10.92 – $20 |
| 1,000+ pieces | $9.80 – $18.20 |

Shipping hoodies DDP
Delivery to the USA is DDP as standard, so the price we quote for a hoodie is the price you pay, landed. Four to seven days by air to Atlanta, Houston or anywhere else in the country; worldwide shipping is available on the same terms. More on streetwear manufacturing for USA brands and DDP shipping. Pullover Hoodie orders to the USA are usually air-freighted; a 50-piece run weighs little enough that air costs only a few dollars per piece more than sea.
Frequently asked questions
What GSM should a streetwear hoodie be?
350 GSM is the mainstream US streetwear weight. 400–450 GSM is what premium brands use to feel heavy on the hanger. Below 300 GSM starts to feel like a retail basic.
Do you use cotton or cotton-poly fleece?
Both. 100% cotton has the best hand and dyes deeply but shrinks more. 80/20 cotton-poly holds shape, resists pilling and shrinks less. Most brands run 80/20 for basics and 100% cotton for heavyweight drops.
Can I have a custom hood lining?
Yes. Contrast jersey, printed jersey, mesh or a second layer of fleece. Custom lining adds $0.80–$1.50 per piece.
What is the MOQ for custom pullover hoodies?
50 pieces per design and colourway, sizes mixed. Sample in 7–10 days, bulk in 2–3 weeks.
